Douglas Jeep Chrysler Dodge RAM was honored to sponsor the first annual Suncoast Snapper Slapper Fishing Tournament that took place June 22 – June 25. This fishing tournament directly benefits the Venice Touchdown Club, and the student-athletes who participate.  This club is an integral part of the Venice High School Football program.

The offshore and inshore tournament wrapped up with a dockside party, silent auction and fish weigh in at Marina Jack. The event was open to both participants and spectators. The anglers were fishing for snook, trout, redfish, and calcutta. The fishing took place June 23 and 24, and the weigh in, silent auction, and dockside party took place on June 25.

The first Suncoast Snapper Slapper was an incredible success! Douglas was proud to sponsor such a great event. As major supporters of the Venice High School Football team, we were thrilled to play a role in an event that raised money for the team and players.
